Las Vegas Fire Chief Retiring

LAS VEGAS -- Las Vegas Fire & Rescue Chief announced Tuesday he is retiring.

Chief Mike Myers has worked with the department for 26 years and has served as chief for the last two years.

His final day will be February 7.

According to the news release from the City of Las Vegas, Myers is leaving so his wife can pursue a career opportunity in Chicago.

The city will now start looking for Chief Myers' replacement.
