Las Vegas Man Charged in Double Shooting

LAS VEGAS -- A Las Vegas man is being charged in connection with the shooting of two women at a southern Nevada park two weeks ago.

According to Metro Police, 18-year-old Ezra Peoples will be charged with two counts of attempted murder for the shooting of two women at Teton Trails Park on January 19.

The women were watching an international soccer game when they were hit. One was struck in the leg and the other was grazed in the chest.

Peoples is already in custody on an unrelated charges of robbery and kidnapping. He will now be re-booked and face an additional charge.

The shooting was an intentional act, and the .22 caliber rifle used in the shooting was recovered, police said. Peoples lives a short distance from the soccer field.
