Las Vegas Man Dies After Officer-Involved Shooting

LAS VEGAS -- The father of a man shot and killed by Metro Police early Saturday morning says he will seek legal action against the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

Police responded to a call around 2 a.m. at an apartment complex Boulder Highway and Flamingo Road after receiving a call from parents who said their son was suicidal.

When officers arrived, the suspect was armed with several weapons and began firing at officers, police said. Officers returned gunfire hitting the man who was taken to Sunrise Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
