Leaders host Latino Vote Summit Friday & Saturday

Nevada leaders from both the Democratic and Republican Parties are holding an event this week that targets Latino voters.

The Latino Vote Summit Nevada takes place Friday and Saturday at the College of Southern Nevada Cheyenne campus at 3200 Cheyenne Avenue.

U.S. Senate candidate and U.S. Rep. Joe Heck (Nevada-R) and Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Catherine Cortez Masto are among those scheduled to attend.

The summit will discuss issues important to the Latino community, as well as offer voter registration opportunities and training on the Nevada Caucuses.

Friday's event runs from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday's event runs from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
