Allegiant Airlines helping family members affected by Vegas Shooting

LAS VEGAS - Allegiant Airlines is helping family members affected by Sunday night's mass shooting at a country music concert on the Las Vegas Strip.

In a statement sent out over Twitter, the Las Vegas-based airline said they will "do what we can do" to help those affected get to and from Vegas.

Allegiant is asking people to email them directly at communications@allegiantair.com.

The airline tweeted out the news following the mass shooting that left 59 people dead and over 500 people injured.

"Las Vegas is Allegiant's hometown, and on this tragic day we are heartbroken but gratified to see the world rally around our community with so much support and love. Since day one of our operations, we have flown millions of people to and from this great city -- both visitors and those who call Las Vegas home."
