Lucky Dragon struggles could end up boosting north end of Strip

LAS VEGAS - After just over a year in business, the Lucky Dragon near the north end of the Strip says it's closing the doors of its restaurants and casino. However, the hotel will remain open.

The Lucky Dragon is located on Sahara, just west of the Strip. It's not clear how many people were laid off, but in a statement, the company said they'll have the opportunity to work for the casino again after a reorganization, which is expected to be completed within six months.

So, how does the news bode for the north end of the strip? Scott Roeben, the founder of "VitalVegas.com" explains.
