Man Accused of Holding Woman Captive for 6 Months

Mesquite, Nev. -- Mesquite Police have arrested a man on charges that he kidnapped a woman and held her captive for six months.

According to police, on Saturday, dispatch received a report that a woman was being held against her will at a local motel.

Officers responded and found the victim and suspect, identified as 34-year-old Jason Greniger. Officers also found that the victim had an active protective order against Greniger.

During the investigation, police found that Greniger had held the victim against her will for the past six months. Police say he told her he would hurt and kill her family, if she left.

Greniger is facing second degree kidnapping charges. He is also wanted on an outstanding warrant from Minnesota.
