Man arrested after barricaded in home near Pecos and Tropicana

LAS VEGAS -- Metro Police arrested a man that barricaded himself inside a home near Pecos Road and Tropicana Avenue around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday night.

According to police, officers were called to the scene at around 8 p.m. Tuesday, when neighbors reported hearing gunshots from inside the home. The man's parents were inside the home but were able to get out.

The suspect has a history of drug abuse, according to police. 

Four to five nearby houses were evacuated for safety reasons.
