Man arrested for April 2016 homicide in North Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS - A 35-year-old man has been arrested in connection to a homicide that occurred on April 15, 2016.

Raul Lara of North Las Vegas was arrested for the crime.

According to North Las Vegas Police, on April 15, 2016, at around 11:15 p.m., officers responded to the 2100 block of Carroll Street to investigate a shooting.  

Arriving officers say they found a 34-year-old North Las Vegas man suffering from a gunshot wound.  The man was taken to UMC where he died from his injuries. 

After a long investigation, North Las Vegas Police homicide detectives were pointed in the direction of Raul Lara.  On Sept. 29, a warrant was issued for Lara's arrest.

Lara was found and apprehended on Sept. 30 at 1819 Loida Court in North Las Vegas. 

Lara was booked into the Clark County Detention Center for one count of conspiracy to commit murder, one count of murder with a deadly weapon (1st degree), two counts of attempted murder with a deadly weapon, and one count of prohibited person in possession of a firearm.
