Man Arrested in Girlfriend's Deadly Beating

LAS VEGAS -- A Las Vegas man is in custody and facing a murder charge after his girlfriend died following a fight between the two.

On Sept. 19, Metro Police were called to a motor home parked in the 3400 block of Las Vegas Boulevard where a woman was reported to be bleeding from her head.

According to the arrest report, Jennifer Evanson was found in the mobile home and pronounced dead. Police located her live-in boyfriend, Dana "Doc" Baker staying in a tent a few blocks away. Police said they found blood stains on Baker's clothes and shoes.

Baker told police he got into an argument with Evanson and hit her over the head with a heavy glass beer mug several times, according to the arrest report.

Baker is in custody at the Clark County Detention Center and faces a charge of murder with a deadly weapon.
