Man Dead After Interrupting Burglary

LAS VEGAS -- Metro Police have released more information about the house fire where one person was found dead.

The Clark County Fire Department responded to a fire at a home near Warm Springs Road and Eastern Avenue early Tuesday morning. Fire crews called police when they found the body in the garage, and the circumstances appeared suspicious.

According to police, the victim arrived home and interrupted a burglary. The burglar attacked the victim inside the home and then moved him into the garage, police said. The fire was deliberately set.

Police do not believe the victim knew the burglar or burglars.

The Clark County Coroner's Office will release the victim's identity and cause of death.

Police have not identified the suspect in the case.
