Man denied jackpot after letting friend press slot button

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - A friendship seems to be severed after a Florida man was denied a $100,000 jackpot because his friend pushed the button on the slot machine.

According to WSVN-TV, Jan Flato put $50 into the machine recently at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.  He claims he asked his friend, Marina Navarro, to push the button for luck.  That's when the machine hit the $100,000 jackpot.

Managers at the casino checked security footage and realized Navarro was the one who pushed the button, so they awarded the jackpot to her.

The two are no longer friends and Flato warns other slot players to never let anyone else touch a button on your machine.
