Man dies after roommate throws broken glass

LAS VEGAS – Metro Police say a man died over the weekend after his roommate threw a piece of broken glass at him during a fight.

Authorities say they've arrested 22-year-old Timothy Stall on charges of murder with use of a deadly weapon.

Police say they responded to reports of an injured man in a downtown apartment complex and found a man bleeding profusely from his leg. He was taken to University Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.

Investigators say Stall and his roommate, identified by police as Donald Dail, were in an argument that turned physical.

According to the arrest report released Tuesday, Stall told police he broke the glass on a fire extinguisher and threw a large piece of the broken glass at Dail. He told police he heard his roommate scream but did not know if he was hit by the glass because he walked away.

The glass had sliced Dail's leg.

Stall also told police that he suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder and had been protecting himself.
