Man hit while riding scooter on Boulder Highway dies

HENDERSON, Nev. -- An 82-year-old man has died several days after being hit by a car while riding a motor scooter.

According to Henderson Police, Gordon Bennett was riding the scooter on Boulder Highway at Greenway Road at around 10:30 a.m. Thursday when he tried to change lanes and hit a Toyota Camry.

The scooter went down and Bennett fell off the scooter. He was taken to Sunrise Hospital. He died Tuesday from the injuries he sustained in the crash.

The driver of the Toyota was not hurt. It does not appear that speed or alcohol were factors in the crash.
