Man in Failed Suicide Pact Gets Probation

LAS VEGAS -- The boyfriend of the late attorney, Nancy Quon, has been sentenced to probation for his role in a failed scheme to help Quon commit suicide.

William Ronald Webb, a former police officer, was sentenced to a total of four years probation on three charges.

Quon was a primary suspect in a two-year federal probe involving Las Vegas area homeowner associations. She was also under investigation by Metro Police for her involvement in the murder-suicide pact that involved drugs, arson and insurance fraud.

In the investigation, police alleged that Webb and Quon conspired to take Quon's life so that her insurance policy would pay off for Webb and her family.

As a condition of his probation, Webb must attend counseling, hold down a job and perform eight hours of community service a month.
