Man indicted for shooting at police officers

LAS VEGAS -- A Las Vegas man who exchanged gunfire with police last month was indicted by a Clark County grand jury on charges of attempted murder with use of a deadly weapon and five counts of discharging a firearm from or within a structure or vehicle.

Joshua Bacharach remains in Clark County Detention Center on no bail and is scheduled to appear in court July 28. Bacharach was already on probation for another offense when he reportedly shot at officers during an attempted traffic stop near Lake Mead Boulevard and Walnut Road June 26. He reportedly fled to an area near Carey Avenue and Dolly Lane, exchanged gunfire with an officer, and eventually was taken into custody on El Tovar Avenue.
