Man indicted for using Facebook to threaten police

LAS VEGAS -- Alleged gang member Deandre Allen was indicted by a Clark County grand jury on charges of using a computer to threaten the lives of two police officers.

Allen was accused of using the social media website Facebook from March through Aug. 7 to intimidate Metro Police Detective Lawrence Rinetti and another police officer.

Allen was charged with aggravated stalking, stalking with use of a computer, intimidating public officers and publishing matter inciting breach of peace or other crime. Bail was set at $500,000 for Allen, who is in custody in the Clark County Detention Center. He is due to appear in court Sept. 4.
