Man sentenced to 4 years in DUI death case

LAS VEGAS - A Las Vegas man who pleaded guilty to driving under the influence and killing a man was sentenced from four to 10 years in prison.

Gary Richard Adair Jr., 24, struck and killed Kadar Brown, 38, while he was changing a flat tire on U.S. 95 near the Summerlin exit in March 2014.

The case made headlines when Brown's great-grandmother Lindona Thompson attacked Adair in a court hallway and was charged with misdemeanor battery. She was fined $100.
