Man shot, killed last weekend in North Las Vegas ID'd

NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. (AP) — Authorities have identified a 25-year-old man who died after being shot over the weekend in a North Las Vegas neighborhood.

Clark County coroner's officials say C'dario Laparker Burns died at University Medical Center of a gunshot wound to the head.

North Las Vegas police say the shooting happened at about 3:30 p.m. Sunday on Jose Ernesto Street, near the intersection of Camino Al Norte and Ann Road.

Investigators say Burns and another man got into an argument and then began to exchange gunfire. Burns was fatally wounded.

Police say the 22-year-old suspect fled, but later returned to the scene of the crime and was arrested.

Authorities were trying to determine whether the two knew each other.
