Man suspected of killing son will be extradited to California

LAS VEGAS - A man arrested in Las Vegas on suspicion of killing his 5-year-old son in California will be extradited back to that state.

Aramazd Andressian, 35, appeared in a Las Vegas courtroom Tuesday morning. He was arrested Friday and is being held on a $10 million bail.

The boy was last seen with Andressian in April when they were leaving Disneyland. Andressian was later found passed out in a park. He had taken prescription pills and his car was doused with gasoline. He told police he did not know what happened to the boy.

Even though the boy's body has not been found, the Los Angeles district attorney said there is enough evidence to charge Andressian with murder.

Investigators believe that Andressian, who had been in Las Vegas for about a month, was not acting in a way consistent of a grieving father and was about to flee the country. He had recently also changed his appearance.

It's believed a tumultuous divorce may be the motive for the killing.
