Man Turns Self In for Deadly Hit-and-Run

LAS VEGAS -- The Nevada Highway Patrol said a 55-year-old man from Pahrump has turned himself in after Friday's deadly hit-and-run off Blue Diamond Road.

He turned himself into the Nye County Sheriff's Department and told police that he was driving to Las Vegas on Blue Diamond near Cimarron Friday morning around 5 a.m. That's when he said he hit a pedestrian.

The Clark County Coroner's Office identified the 29-year-old victim as Robert Charles Pyjas with the cause of death being multiple blunt forced injuries.

So far, police said he hasn't been charged and isn't in custody.
