Man Wanted in NYC Murder Arrested in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS -- A man wanted in a New York homicide has been arrested in Las Vegas after being featured on the "America's Most Wanted" television show.

Joe Roman was arrested by the Nevada Fugitive Investigative Strike Team on Sunday after police received a tip from someone who saw the March 13 program featuring Roman. The U.S. Marshals Service says Roman is wanted for shooting a man in a crowded shopping area after a drug associate became involved with the girlfriend of Daniel Wallace.

Authorities say the 23-year-old Roman shot Wallace three times. Roman was booked into the Clark County Detention Center pending his extradition to New York. It wasn't immediately clear whether Roman had an attorney.
