McCarran International Airport Sees Passenger Increase

LAS VEGAS - McCarran International Airport saw a slight uptick in passengers in August. Airport officials report 3.64 million people passed through the airport last month, an increase of 0.3 percent from 3.63 million in August 2011.

Year-to-date through August, 28 million people have traveled through the airport this year. That is up 1.4 percent from 27.6 million in 2011.

Among McCarran's top carriers, Allegiant Airlines experienced the largest spike in passenger traffic - an increase of 13.8 percent from the previous year. Delta Airlines saw the largest decline, a drop of nearly 9 percent from 2011.
