Media Campaign Helps FBI Identify Alleged Child Predator

LAS VEGAS -- Media publicity has led to the identification of a child predator suspect, according to the Las Vegas office of the FBI.

"It is now believed that tips generated from the Nov. 12, 2013, publicity campaign have led to the identification and location (in the Midwest region of the USA) of the man in the photographs known as John Doe 27," the agency reported Thursday.

The FBI had released the man's photo and a photo of a chair in hopes of getting the man identified.

"As of this time, no arrest warrants have been issued or served."
