Metro Arrests Man Suspected in Three Bank Robberies

LAS VEGAS-- Metro Police arrest a man suspected in three bank robberies after a short chase.

The first robbery was reported around 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Bank of America at 5950 West Sahara.

A few minutes later, another robbery was reported at the Wells Fargo Bank at 1001 South Rainbow. Police received a third call, at the US Bank at 2555 South Rainbow.

Officers spotted Kenyatta Stepps' vehicle at that location and tried to pull him over, but he fled.

The suspect took police over I-15 via Sahara, into the Circus Circus parking lot and then back onto the Las Vegas Boulevard. He then went southbound, does a U-turn onto Sahara and onto Paradise.

He tries to make another U-turn at Karen to avoid hitting another vehicle and instead hits a Metro Police car.

No one was injured.

The FBI and Metro Robbery are investigating.
