Metro investigates 2 separate barricade situations in northwest and southeast Las Vegas

Metro Police investigated two barricade situations Wednesday night. One incident happened in the northwest near W. Deer Springs Way and N. Durango Drive. 

According to officers, an attempted murder suspect is barricaded inside a home refusing to surrender to police.

At around 10:15 p.m., the LVMPD SWAT Team determined the suspect was not inside the home. Residents returned to their homes after being evacuated for over two hours.

The other barricade situation occurred in the southeast in the 3000 block of South Nellis Boulevard near N. Nellis Boulevard and E. Vegas Valley Drive. Metro said this incident started as a domestic disturbance with the suspect barricading himself inside an apartment and refusing to leave. The suspect later surrendered before 9:30 p.m.

No other information was released.
