Metro investigates possible explosive device

LAS VEGAS - Metro Police investigated reports of a possible explosive device Wednesday night.

It happened in the area of Bonanza and Lamb around 8 p.m.  Police said a car, thought to be stolen, was pulled over by officers.

Metro said that's when officers were told by one of the people inside the car that there was a grenade in the car.

The southeast corner of the area and a business was evacuated. The intersection was shut down in both directions, and Metro's ARMOR unit, which investigates explosive devices were called to the scene, and that's where a "novelty grenade" was found.

No one was hurt.
