Metro looking for suspect who 'viciously' beat woman

LAS VEGAS - Las Vegas Metro Police say there doesn't appear to be any motive for a vicious attack that nearly left a 59-year-old woman dead.

At a news conference Tuesday, Metro Captain Andrew Walsh said the woman was walking on 11th Street near Bridger Avenue on Nov. 1 around 1 a.m. when she was attacked and brutally beaten for no apparent reason.

Witnesses who saw the man leave the area on foot helped police put together a sketch of the suspect. He is described as a Hispanic man around 5-foot-4-inches tall with a stocky/muscular build and weighing about 160 pounds.

The woman's husband, Larry Winslow, is also pleading for anyone who knows anything to come forward. He said, he wants justice for his wife. The victim is still hospitalized and unable to communicate with police.

Anyone with information on this crime is asked to contact Metro Police or to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555.
