Metro, Red Rock Search and Rescue help stranded hikers

LAS VEGAS - Metro Search and Rescue, along with Red Rock Search and Rescue had to rescue some hikers at Red Rock Tuesday.

According to authorities, a  hiker in the Gray Cap Peak area at Red Rock reported finding three women hikers just before 4 p.m. The women, who range in age from 22-25, said they were lost.

They also didn't have any food, water or cell phone service, Metro Police said.

Metro said it would send one of its rescuers to the area on foot to bring the hikers back to safety.

No word on how the hikers got lost.
