Missing girl disappeared 11 years ago

NORTH LAS VEGAS - Eleven years ago on June 10, then 2-year-old Everlyse Cabrera disappeared from her home in North Las Vegas.

North Las Vegas police say there are no new leads. No new information in the disappearance of little Everlyse. But one thing is clear, someone knows what happened to the little girl.

On June 10, 2006, Everlyse Cabrera's foster parents Manny and Vhee Carrascall reported her missing. They speculated to police that the toddler used a stool to unlock the front door and wandered out in the middle of the night.

That day was the last time the couple or their son cooperated with the investigation.

"I just don't think it's possible that a young child, just 2-years-old would be able to walk out of that situation. I think somebody took her from that situation," said Jim Conklin, Exfed Investigations.

In the years that followed, the Carrascall's moved away and investigators moved in searching the grounds of the home using cadaver dogs and ground-penetrating radar.

"Unfortunately, there was nothing striking that came out of it," said  Sgt. Tim Bedwell, North Las Vegas Police Department.

Her case remains largely cold.

In May of this year, CharleyProject.org released an updated age progression of what Everlyse could look like now as a 13-year-old girl.

North Las Vegas police investigators say they continue to pursue leads when new tips are called in. They urge anyone who may have any information to call the North Las Vegas Police Department or Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555.
