Motorcycle Rally and Festival Canceled Over Safety Concerns

LAS VEGAS -- A big motorcycle rally and festival planned for Mt. Charleston has been canceled for a second time, because of concerns over violence between motorcycle clubs.

Rock the Canyon was originally scheduled for July but had to be called off because of the Carpenter 1 fire.

The Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort was supposed to host the event but was under an evacuation because of the wildfire.

Now, the organizers say the FBI was worried about safety. Recent run-ins between outside motorcycle clubs, that had nothing to do with the organizers of the event, the charity it was supposed to benefit or any other local motorcycle clubs, had law enforcement concerned.

The bike rally and festival was supposed to benefit a local foundation to help families who were victims of violence or addiction and the cleanup efforts after the fire.
