Murder suspect fails to show up in court, again

LAS VEGAS -- The man accused of killing his grandfather and injuring his father has failed for a second time to appear in court.

Steven Woodard, 43, was set to be arraigned in Las Vegas Justice Court Tuesday morning. After a brief conference with the lawyers, the judge rescheduled Woodard to appear Wednesday, May 21.

According to police, Woodard, an escaped mental patient, slashed his grandfather's throat and attacked and injured his father and another person. Woodard is being held at the Clark County Detention Center.
