Nevada Gaming Win Falls in August

LAS VEGAS - The Nevada Gaming Control Board reports Nevada casinos won $859 million in August. That represents a drop of 3.1 percent from $886 million in 2011.

Clark County casinos won more than $25 million less from gamblers in August than they did in August 2011. Casinos in North Las Vegas and along the Boulder Strip saw the largest declines. Casinos in Mesquite were the only ones to report gains in the gaming win.
