Nevada gaming win rises in March

CARSON CITY, Nev. - Nevada casinos won more than $982 million from gamblers in March.

The Nevada Gaming Control Board reports the March winnings represent a 7.6 percent increase from March 2013. Clark County casinos won more than $860 million last month - an increase of 9.5 percent from the year before. North Las Vegas casinos experienced the largest gains in Clark County.

The state collected more than $84 million in fees based on the March gaming revenue. That represents an increase of 7.4 percent from last year.
