Nevada to Lose 70,000 Residents

LAS VEGAS -- The recession, foreclosure crisis and unemployment will do what no other economic slump has -- end the state's population growth.

Nevada had been the fastest growing state for 19 years in a row until 2006. Now, a state demographer at the University of Nevada Reno says the population will drop by 70,000 this year.

The last time Nevada suffered a big population hit was in 1920.
