New charges filed against suspect in lewdness case

LAS VEGAS -- New charges have been filed against a Las Vegas man accused of lewdness with a child.

According to Metro Police, Bryan Hargrave was rebooked Wednesday on charges of use of a child under 14 to produce pornography and charges of possession of pornography of a person under 16.

Hargrave was arrested June 17 on charges of lewdness with a child under 14 after the son of a family friend told his mother that Hargrave had inappropriately touched him.

Police say Hargrave was known to frequent the ice arena at the Fiesta Rancho and befriend single mothers with sons who played hockey. The victim's mother told police that other people thought he was "creepy.".

After the suspect was told the victim's family had called police, he tried to commit suicide by slashing his wrists, police said.

He was already booked in the Clark County Detention Center. He pleaded not guilty to the original charges during a hearing last week.

Anyone with information about case is asked to Metro's Sexual Assault Section at (702) 828-3421, or to remain anonymous call Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555.
