New DNA information reveals how murder suspect may look

LAS VEGAS - New DNA evidence is giving police a break in a cold case and now they want you to see if you recognize a potential suspect.

Theresa Insana was just 26-years-old when she was killed in her home near the intersection of Hualapai and Peace Way in Oct. 2004.

Her body was found in a drainage ditch near her home. There was blood at the scene but police were never able to connect it to a suspect.

Now Metro cold case detectives say new DNA technology called phenotyping has allowed them to use the blood to come up with a sketch.

Police say this is a composite of what the likely suspect would have looked like in 2004. It shows a mostly southeast Asian man with dark hair and eyes.

If you have any information on who this suspect may be, you are asked to call Crimestoppers at (702) 385-5555 or Metro Police.
