LAS VEGAS - A robbery suspect ran over and killed a man at a gas station Saturday morning.
The incident happened at the AM/PM on Lake Mead Boulevard near N. 5th Street around 7:00 a.m.
"We want the public to be on the lookout. This was a very public place," said Eric Leavitt, North Las Vegas Police Department.
A woman pulled up to the gas station. She went inside and stole items from the store, according to investigators with the NLVPD.
"Detectives, CSI are working through all the surveillance video. There are several cameras on the business and other eyewitness accounts," Leavitt said.
When the woman got back in the car and started to drive away, a man tried to stop the suspected crook, police said.
"We do advise not to step in. In a case like this, instincts also take over also at that point just be a good witness and call the police," Leavitt said.
Investigators say she ran the man over, sending him to an area hospital with critical injuries. The man died a short time later.
Police are now looking for the suspect who is driving a dark-colored Jeep Grand Cherokee with California plates.
If you have information on the suspect, you're asked to contact the North Las Vegas Police Department.
