New Principals Named for 3 Turnaround Schools

LAS VEGAS -- The Clark County School District announced the new principals for three turnaround schools.

Grant Hanevold will take over Sunrise Mountain High School, Lori Sarabyn will lead Cimarron-Memorial High School and Debra Jones will head Elizabeth Wilhelm Elementary School.

Aside from the new principals, the schools will receive more resources, including an extended school day and specialized literacy programs.

The district says the schools were chosen to be turnaround schools after a close review of their academic performance and school climate.
