New rehabilitation hospital being built in Henderson

HENDERSON, Nev. - A new 60-bed medical rehabilitation center broke ground in Henderson Wednesday.

The ceremony took place at the Dignity Health St. Rose Dominican Siena Campus. When completed, the new hospital will be three stories tall and more 74,000 square feet.

Patients suffering from neurological conditions will be treated at the facility. Dignity Health teamed up with Select Medical, one of the largest operators of specialty hospitals in the county.

The new hospital will help treat stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injuries and other rehabilitation needs. The hospital is set to open in 2018.
