NHP raising awareness in Pink Patch Project

LAS VEGAS - The Nevada Highway Patrol is leading the state with an innovative project that helps raise money for breast cancer research.

The campaign is called the Pink Patch Project with NHP being the first statewide agency and the first in Nevada to take part in the project.

The pink patch was founded in southern California as part of a public awareness campaign. The fundraising is a tool for cancer organizations through the sale of commemorative pink patches or pins. So far there are more than 100 organizations and law enforcement agencies around the country are taking part in the effort.
