Third Somerset Academy campus approved by NLV City Council

North Las Vegas, NV. - North Las Vegas City officials approved a new Somerset campus Wednesday night.

City council members unanimously went forward with the Somerset plan as the new facility will include 61 classrooms to hold 1,100 students. This will be the third Somerset campus and will make it the eighth charter school in North Las Vegas.

The move is rapidly expanding the city’s charter school offerings to students around Clark County with council members excited about the expansion.

Council members say charter enrollments include many students in the North Las Vegas area, but more are enrolling across the valley because of the quality of education the schools are offering.

The location of the new Somerset school has yet to be determined.
