No injuries in 2nd alarm warehouse fire, 100 employees evacuated

LAS VEGAS - Over 100 warehouse employees were evacuated Wednesday night after a fire started on the 6700 block of Escondito Street.

Clark County Fire officials say the fire started at 6:48 p.m. on 6745 Escondito St. with smoke showing from the roof of a food storage warehouse.

A second alarm was requested to assist with the incident and no injuries were reported. Firefighters experienced heavy smoke and fire on the interior of the warehouse.

Firefighters were able to put out the fire quickly.

Southwest Gas and NV Energy officials were notified to assist with building utilities.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
