North Las Vegas Motorcycle Officer Hit by Car

NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. -- North Las Vegas Police say a motorcycle officer suffered non-life-threatening injuries after a vehicle struck the officer.

The accident happened at the intersection of Martin Luther King Boulevard and Cheyenne Avenue at approximately 9:30 p.m. Sunday.

Police say the officer was working a normal patrol and traveling northbound on MLK. A white Saturn was stopped at the red light at Cheyenne, when the vehicle rolled into the intersection, hitting the officer.

Police have not indicated if charges will be filed against the driver of the vehicle.
