One person dies in moped crash in Boulder City

BOULDER  CITY, Nev. -- One person is dead after a moped crash in Boulder City Wednesday afternoon.

According to Boulder City Police, the crash happened along Adams Boulevard in front of the Boulder City Library at around 2 p.m.

A red car and the moped were both traveling westbound on Adams Boulevard when witnesses say the moped rider swerved towards the vehicle and went down. The red car continued westbound.

The rider of the moped, an 84-year-old resident of Boulder City, was taken to the Boulder City Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the red car has not been located. Police say the driver may not have even been involved in the crash, but they would like to speak to who ever was driving.

The crash remains under investigation.
