One Person Killed in Motorcycle Crash Tuesday Night

LAS VEGAS -- Metro Police are investigating a fatal accident involving two cars and a motorcycle.

The crash happened Tuesday at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Silverado Ranch Boulevard near Maryland Parkway. Police say the motorcycle was speeding eastbound on Silverado Ranch, when a Kia Optima turned in front of it.

The motorcycle crashed into the Kia, causing the Kia to spin and collide with a nearby Saturn. The motorcycle rider, a 41-year-old male, died at the scene of the accidents. The 62-year-old female driver of the Kia sustained minor injuries, while the 26-year-old male driver of the Saturn was unharmed.

Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash, police said.

The Clark County Coroner's Office will identify the motorcycle rider, once next of kin have been notified.
