Paid parking now at the Wynn and Encore

LAS VEGAS - Another Las Vegas Strip property is charging for parking.

The Wynn and Encore are the latest resorts on Las Vegas Boulevard to change their parking policy.

Local residents will also have to pay the standard parking rates as well. Valet rates at the Wynn and Encore will start at $15 for up to four hours.

Self-parking will begin at $7 and go up to $15 but the first hour is free.

The properties cite recent parking upgrades as the reason for the change. If you lose your self-park ticket, there is a $30 fee.

"I think they just want more money and parking is an easy way to do it. LA does it and everywhere you go it's valet parking and I think it's just an easy way to do it," said Mike Kemper, Las Vegas visitor.

Several other properties on the Las Vegas Strip have are also charging for parking.

You can still get free parking at the Venetian and Palazzo, Treasure Island, Tropicana, SLS and the Stratosphere.
