LAS VEGAS -- Parents of three children who were killed in a mobile home fire in June have been indicted in connection with the blaze.
The grand jury indicted Amy Hatzenpiller, 26, and Shane Gouailhardou, 22, for second degree murder and child abuse, neglect or endangerment with substantial bodily harm in connection with the deaths of the three children.
According to the indictment, Hatzenpiller and Gouailhardou were high on methamphetamine at the time of the fire.
David Gouailhardou, 2, Skylar Lafia, 2 and Aryana Lafia, 1, died during the fire at a trailer park near Las Vegas Boulevard North and Lamb Boulevard.
Both Hatzenpiller and Gouailhardou escaped the fire.
Former neighbors Sheilla Robbins and her husband, Robert, did what they could to try and rescue the children.
"They have to pay for the lives they took because if they didn't cause the fire, they sure as heck didn't try to get in there to save them," she said.
