HENDERSON, Nev. -- A 50-year-old woman has been airlifted to University Medical Center after being hit by a car in south Henderson about 5 p.m. Thursday, a police spokesman said.

Henderson Police spokesman Keith Paul said the woman was crossing at the intersection of Anthem Parkway and Somersworth Drive when she was hit by a car driven by a 65-year-old who failed to yield at the crosswalk.

The woman is in critical but stable condition.
