Pedestrian hit & killed near Downtown Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS - Metro Police are investigating a deadly crash involving a pedestrian near Eastern and Ogden Avenue.

Police say a 54-year-old man was crossing the street when he was struck by a 2003 Honda four door that was traveling south on Eastern.

Police say evidence suggests the pedestrian walked out in front of the vehicle. They also believe the 67-year-old female driver had no time to move out of the way.

The pedestrian was transported to the hospital and later died. Meantime, the driver stayed on scene and cooperated with police.

This is the 26th traffic related death in Metro's Jurisdiction in 2017.
